IN SEARCH FOR EXCELLENCE IN LIFE

Selected Experiences from Well Known Persons which include, Priests, Scientists, Scholars, and Intellectuals, from all over the World.

1. Dr. Jerald F. Dirks,
USAM.Div. [Harvard US] Psy.D [Denver US], Former Minister (Deacon) of the United Methodist Church and biblical scholar. Author of "The Cross and the Crescent: An Interfaith Dialogue between Christianity and Islam" (2001), and "Abraham: The Friend of God" (2002).
Harvard named him a Hollis Scholar, signifying that he was one of the top pre-theology students in the college….and there obtained his Master of Divinity degree... and as the minister of two United Methodist Churches in Kansas, USA.
By virtue of my seminary training and education, I knew how badly the Bible had been corrupted (and often knew exactly when, where, and why),”
“I could readily admit to myself that I had far more in common with Islamic beliefs as I then understood them, than I did with the traditional Christianity of the organized church. I knew only too well that I could easily confirm from my seminary training and education most of what the Qur’an had to say about Christianity, the Bible, and Jesus, peace be upon him” I was a Muslim. Praise be to Allah, my wife of 33 years also became a Muslim about that same time.”

2. Dr. Polosin A. V. Sergheyevich.
M.A.,
PhD [Moscow State University]
Learned & Respected Ex Archpriest of Orthodox Church, Russia

“I became a priest in 1983. At the moment my benefice symbolized the spiritual and intellectual struggle against the absence of God, and I felt I was a warrior of the Lord. But unfortunately, when my real service began, I was faced with carrying out the rituals ordered by largely superstitious people rather than with fulfillment of my spiritual and intellectual tasks.”
“When I first read the periphrastic translation of the Holy Quran, made by V. Porokhovaya, with a commentary to the text of the Quran and the Islamic teaching about Jesus (let peace be upon him!), my last reservations about accepting the word of Islam vanished…I made a decision to publicly profess our return to the true faith in the One and Only God. “

3. I.K. Philobus,
Dip. Theology, M.A. Theology [Princeton University USA Former Priest, and Secretary General of The German Swiss Christians Mission
“My faith in Islam has been brought about through reading the Holy Quran and the biography of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him. I no longer believed in the misconceptions against Islam and I am especially attracted by the concept of unity of God, which is the most important feature of Islam. God is only One. Nothing is like Him. This belief makes me the servant of God only and of no one else. Oneness of God liberates man from servitude to any human being and that is true freedom.”

4. Raphael Latino,
Los Angles, USA Former Jehovah’s Witness Minister, Los Angles, USA
A forty-two-year-old Latino, Raphael is a Los Anodes-based lecturer. He was born in Texas, where he attended his first Jehovah's Witness meeting at age six, gave his first Bible sermon at eight, tended his own congregation at twenty, and was headed for a position of leadership among the 904,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in the United States.1 But he traded in his Bible for a Qur'an after having braved a visit to a local mosque. On November 1, 1991, he embraced Islam, bringing to the Muslim community the organizational and speaking skills he developed among Jehovah's Witnesses.
“I started thinking, Muslims - one billion in the world. Man, one out of every five people on the street theoretically could be a Muslim. And I thought: One billion people! C'mon now, Satan is good. But he's not that good. .So then I said, I'll read their book, the Qur'an, and I'll see what kind of pack of lies this thing is. It probably has an illustration on how to dissemble an AK-47.I started getting calls from different parts of the country to go and lecture as a Jehovah's Witness minister who embraced Islam. People find me a novelty.”

5. Dr. Martin John Mwaipopo,
Dip. In Church Administration [England], B.A.; M.A. ; PhD in Divinity [Berlin Germany]. Former Lutheran Archbishop and Member of World Council of Churches
It was December 23, 1986, two days away from Christmas, when Arch Bishop Martin John Mwaipopo, announced to his congregation that he was leaving Christianity for Islam. The congregation was paralyzed with shock on hearing the news, ..”
“When I opened the Qur’an , the first verses I came across were, ‘ Say : He is Allah , The One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begeteteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him? (Surah Ikhlas)’ ", he recalls. That was when the seeds of Islam, unknown to him, were first sown. It was then that he discovered that the Qur’an was the only scripture book that never have been tampered with, by human beings since its revelation . "And in concluding my doctoral thesis I said so. I didn’t care whether they give me my doctorate or not - that was the truth, and I was looking for the truth."

6. Dr. Gary Miller
converted to Islam and became a major herald for Islam. This man likes mathematics so much, that's why he likes logic. One day, he decided
to read the Quran to try to find any mistakes.

He expected the Quran to be an old book written 14 centuries ago, a book that talks about the desert and so on. He was amazed from what he found.
He started reading the Quran more thoroughly hoping to find a mistake but he was shocked when he read a great verse which is verse number 82 in Surat Al-Nisa'a (Women) that says:

“Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other than God, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy”.

Dr Miller says about this verse: “One of the well known scientific principles is the principle of finding mistakes or looking for mistakes in a theory until it’s proved to be right (Falsification Test).

What’s amazing is that the Holy Quran asks Muslims and non-Muslims to try to find mistakes in this book and it tells them that they will never find any”.

7. Prof Dr. Ingrid Mattson, PhD, Canada,

Guest lecturer at such institutions as the US Naval Academy

Raised as a Catholic, she ultimately abandoned religion "for good" but later embraced Islam

8. Prof. Dr. F. O’Leary PhD, Texas USA[Prof of Biology State Edward University, USA]

Ex Traditional Devoted Christian Roman Catholic
"I love Islam that, I have to pray direct to God, My relation is direct to God not through intermediary such as clergy etc."

9. Prof. Dr. J. Nicholson PhD, UK Scholars in Christian Theology & Divinity , Edinburgh. Univ. Scotland

Former Preacher & Minister , Christian Movement Jehovah Witness, England .
Reverted to Islam with his 6 children & Wife. Also his mother of 119 yrs old
converted to Islam

10. Professor Dr. Jeffrey Lang
Professor of Mathematics at the University of Kansas, one of the biggest universities in the United States.
Dr. Jeffery Lang pursued a career in mathematics. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees from Purdue University

He started questioning all the values- political, social and religious. “I rebelled against all the institutions that society held sacred including the Catholic Church,” he said. By the time he reached the age of 18, Lang had become a full-fledged atheist
Lang said that he had always been fascinated by mathematics. “Mathematics is logical. It consists of using facts and figures to find concrete answers,” Lang said. “That is the way my mind works, and it is frustrating when I deal with things that do not have concrete answerers”.
Lang read the Quran on his own, found his way to the student-run prayer hall at the university, and basically surrendered without much struggle. He was
conquered by the Qur’an. ” Having a mind that accepts ideas on their factual merit makes believing in a religion difficult because most religions require acceptance by faith, he said. The Muslim religion appeals to man’s reasoning” he said.

11. Dr. M. Wilfried Hofmann
Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany

Director of Information for NATO in Brussels

"I began to see Islam with its own eyes, as the unadulterated, pristine belief in the one and only, the true God, Who does not beget, and was not begotten, Whom nothing and nobody resembles … In place of the qualified deism of a tribal God and the constructions of a divine Trinity, the Qur’an showed me the most lucid, most straightforward, the most abstract - thus historically most advanced – and least anthropomorphic concept of God. "

"The Qur’an’s ontological statements, as well as its
ethical teachings, impressed me as profoundly plausible, “as good as gold,” so there was no room for even the slightest doubt about the authenticity of Muhammad’s prophetic mission. People who understand human nature cannot fail to appreciate the infinite wisdom of the “Dos and Don’ts” handed down from God to man in the form of the Qur’an."

12. Anselm Tormeeda
A Former Priest and the Greatest Christian Scholar.
A Former Priest and the greatest Christian scholars. The authors of several famous Books and one of them are "The Gift to the Intelligent for Refuting the Arguments of the Christians".

While the Christians were expending all their efforts in disseminating distorted Christianity all over Andalusia after the evacuation of the Muslims, God, the Almighty, opened the heart of one of its great scholars to Islam. He submitted sincerely to Allah, and stood upright in obedience to Him and struggled with his hand, tongue and pen in His way.
This man was a priest called Anselm Tormeeda and later known as Sheikh Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Abdullah Al-Tarjuman, the Majorcan,.
He was famous among the common people with some nicknames; the most popular was Sidi Tohfah, which means "My Master Gift", referring to his famous book "The Gift To The Intelligent For Refuting The Arguments Of The Christians.
The book was a powerful truth to the structure of Christian belief because it was written by one of the greatest scholars of Christianity in those days, as admitted by Christians themselves. He began his book by mentioning the story of his guidance to Islam; how God freed his heart from the slavery of idolatry and polytheism, and how He opened his heart to Islam and filled it with His Light.
What follows is a summary extracted from his story as related in his own words:
" I lived in the church with an aged priest. He was greatly respected by the people because of his knowledge, religiousness and asceticism, which distinguished him from the other Christian priests. Questions and requests for advice came to him from everywhere, from Kings and Rulers, along with presents and gifts. They hoped that he would accept their presents and grant them his blessings.
This priest taught me the principles of Christianity and its rulings. I became very close to him by serving and assisting him with his duties until I became one of his most trusted assistants
During one of the discussions he said: "My son, when you came here from your country, I asked you if is it near to the Muslim's. And whether they made raids against you, or you made raids against them. This was to test your hatred for Islam. Know, my son, that Paraclete is the name of their Prophet, Muhammad." to whom was revealed the fourth book as mentioned by Daniel. His way is the clear way which is mentioned in the Gospel. I said: "Then sir, what do you say about the religion of these Christians?" He said: "My son, if these Christians remained on the original religion of Jesus, then they would have been on God's true religion; because the religion of Jesus and all the other prophets is the true religion of God. But they changed it and became unbelievers."
I asked him: "Then, sir, what is the salvation from this?" He said: "Oh my son, embracing Islam."
I asked him: "Will the one who embraces Islam be saved?"
He answered: "Yes, in this world and the Hereafter."

ADAM, MOSES, JESUS , MUHAMMAD

Adam [peace be upon him] was the first human created by God. He submitted and prayed to God. Moses [peace be upon him] was also human created by God, So as Jesus Christ [peace be upon him]was human and created by God. Like all humans Muhammad [peace be upon him] was created by God. They were all creations of God. All of them were messengers of God.
Moses, Jesus and Muhammad are the Most Influential Persons in History
God is most powerful and He can creates anything he wishes by saying just a word “ Be " and it will be. It was not difficult for God to create Adam [peace be upon him] without a father or mother. Similarly it was not difficult for God to create Jesus Christ [peace be upon him] from a mother without a father. It was not difficult for God to create Muhammad [peace be upon him], who was illiterate and unable to read, but becoming the most influential person in history [The 100 – A Ranking of The Most Influential Persons in History, By Michael H. Hart].
Moses [peace be upon him], was a great man too. He was ranked as the 16th Most Influential Person in History by Michael H. Hart.
The same too, for Jesus Christ [peace be upon him] . He was ranked as the 3rd Most Influential Person in History by Michael H. Hart.
Torah , Bible and Quran are Words of God, But.
Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon all of them] brought changes and developments to mankind - from pagans to believers of God. They were all messengers of God, bringing with them the messages from God. The messages of God were documented in Torah or the Old Testament [through Moses] , Gospel or the New Testament [through Jesus Christ] and Quran or the Final Testament [through Muhammad].
Torah or the Old Testament was compiled 1000 years after the death of Moses [peace be upon him], and Bible [Containing the Old and New Testaments] was compiled 300 years after Jesus Christ [peace be upon him] was taken away by God from the earth. Unlike Torah and Gospel, the Quran was compiled and written during the life of Muhammad. [peace be upon him].
Naturally, any documents which were compiled from many sources collected over hundred years, the probabilities of the documents, incomplete and full of errors, were certainly be very high. According to Jehovah’s Witness in their “AWAKE!” Magazine dated 8 September 1957 [Page 67] carried the head line “50,000 ERRORS IN THE BIBLE”. Owing to these errors, the Bible is continuously being revised from time to time As we are fully aware that there are various versions of the Bible which are available today.
Quran is pure - Authentic and Unadulterated
Since Quran was compiled during the life of Muhammad [peace be upon him], till today more than 1428 years, not a single word being added or deleted. All the original words in Arabic are all intact in the original forms, without being revised – added or deleted. Thus, Quran is considered the only messages from God, which is authentic and unadulterated.
Due to the efforts of the early companions, with God’s assistance, the Quran as we have it today is recited in the same manner as it was revealed. This makes it the only religious scripture that is still completely retained and understood in its original language. Indeed, as Sir William Muir states,
“There is probably no other book in the world which has remained twelve centuries (now fourteen) with so pure a text. [Sir William Muir, Life of Mohamet, London, 1894, Vol.1, Introduction ].
Kenneth Cragg [The Mind of the Quran, London: George Allen & Unwin, 1973, p.26.] describes the transmission of the Quran from the time of revelation to today as occurring in an unbroken living sequence of devotion.
Schwally concurs that:
As far as the various pieces of revelation are concerned, we areconfident that their text has been generally transmitted exactly as it was found in the Prophet’s legacy.” [Schwally, Geschichte des Qorans, Leipzig: Dieterich’sche Verlagsbuchhandlung,1909-38, Vol.2, p.120.]
Scholar, B. Philips concluded that [, Usool at-Tafseer, Sharjah: Dar al-Fatah, 1997, p.157]
“More ancient manuscripts from all periods of Islamic history found in the Library of Congress in Washington, the Chester Beatty Museum in Dublin (Ireland) and the London Museum have been compared with those in Tashkent, Turkey and Egypt, with results confirming that there have not been any changes in the text from its original time of writing
The evidence above confirms God’s promise in the Quran:
Verily, We have revealed the Reminder, and verily We shall preserve it.” (Quran 15:9)
The Quran has been preserved in both oral and written form in a way no other book has, and with each form providing a check and balance for the authenticity of the other.

Falsification Test that Quran is not from God
It is interesting to note that, the Quran challenges mankind to produce a similar book like the Quran :
And if you are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Quran) to Our slave (Muhammad ), then produce a Sûrah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides God, if you are truthful” Quran Chapter 2: 23
Till to date, over 1428 years, many attempts were made but failed. This challenge is still opened to all mankind.
Shall we accept the challenge?
It is interesting to note too, that, after challenging mankind, God gives the answer in the Quran as in the following [Chapter 2 :24}
"But if you do it not, and you can never do it,.."
Is there any similar challenge or “falsification test” written in other holy Books ? However, Quran does that.. A perfect example of how Quran provides man with a chance to verify its authenticity and "prove it wrong" occurs in the other 4th chapter. In the very words of Dr. Gary Miller “And quiet honestly, I was very surprised when I first discovered this challenge.” Quran states in (Surah An-Nisa, 4:82):
"Do they not consider the Qur'an? Had it been from any other than God, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy."
This is a clear challenge to the mankind. Basically, Quran invites anyone to find a mistake. As a matter of fact, the seriousness and difficulty of the challenge aside, the actual presentation of such a challenge in the first place is not even in human nature and is inconsistent with man's personality.
